Is a fast-paced baseball deck-builder crafted in just two weeks by the Portland Indie Game Squad for the Build Your Own Game Jam 2026. Players assemble a powerful lineup of batters to take on increasingly tough opponents across nine challenging matches, aiming to claim the title of King of Baseball. The game features a unique blend of modifiers like Push Your Luck, Bonk, and Extreme Sports, merging deck-building with custom shader creation and genre mashup elements. Developed with three collaborators, it includes quirky boss fights and a character named "Little Mister." Notably, the project uses an experimental custom Godot branch for web exports, offering a playable Windows versión while highlighting known issues such as character rendering glitches on web builds and occasional softlocks involving robber teammates. These bugs are still under review. Pinch Hitters delivers a fresh twist on baseball mechanics with creative freedom and community spirit. Experience the thrill of strategic batting and teamwork today.
