Oyster VR
Oyster VR offers an immersive, educational journey into underwater restoration, set in the Hudson River between New York and New Jersey. Players take on the role of an explorer tasked with cleaning up pollution and building oyster reefs to protect coastal cities. The game features interactive elements like the Trash Museum, where harmful waste such as glass, plastic, and construction debris are showcased to highlight their impact on marine life. Using a bathysphere, you dive deep into the river, collect trash, and install oyster cages to encourage reef growth. Watching fish thrive in cleaner waters demonstrates the positive effects of your actions. Each oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water daily, emphasizing the importance of restoration. With realistic graphics and cross-platform support—PC, Mac, web, and VR headsets—the experience is accessible and visually engaging. Oyster VR blends learning with adventure, making environmental action both fun and meaningful. This unique experience brings conservation to life in a way that’s both educational and entertaining.
