In *Notemon*, you and your Notemon companion arrive in the quiet town of Nyoo Owtearowa, where peaceful settlers are now facing unexpected danger. As you explore, you’ll befriend Notemon, help rebuild the town, and uncover the source of their sudden aggression. The game offers a unique twist on turn-based RPGs—battles don’t drain resources like MP or PP, but instead give Notemon a cooldown period. After each fight, your team recovers health, stats, and status effects, encouraging strategic planning without resource limits. You can choose up to four moves for battle and switch them anytime outside combat, allowing for creative combinations. Notemon learn new skills as they grow, and all unlocked moves stay available permanently. The game supports non-linear exploration—follow the story if you wish, or wander freely. Built using PICO-8 technology, *Notemon* is the largest PICO-8 game ever made, combining 16 virtual cartridges into one. A charming, mysterious experience for fans of monster-taming RPGs.
