MITTIN [OUTDATED]
MITTIN is a free virtual life skills library designed to help students with special education transition into independent living. Originally launched as "MITTIN: Keyboard/Mouse Version," the updated versión focuses on essential daily tasks through interactive modules. Users can practice skills like changing a lightbulb, cleaning, grocery shopping, and using appliances such as microwaves and ovens. The program also covers community safety, including crossing streets and navigating parking lots. Developed by a partnership including the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education and Great Lakes Reality Labs, MITTIN offers structured lessons for home and community settings. It supports educators, parents, and students across Michigan in building practical independence. The game replaces the older "Special Education Modules" versión, streamlining access to critical life skills. MITTIN aims to empower learners through realistic, engaging simulations tailored to real-world challenges. It remains a key resource for fostering self-sufficiency in diverse environments. MITTIN continues to evolve as a vital tool for special education transition support.
