Description

MARDEK is a retro-inspired RPG that merges fantasy and sci-fi in a richly detailed world. The story starts playful but quickly dives into complex themes of morality, delivered through sharp, witty, and sometimes absurd dialogue. Players assemble a diverse party of well-developed characters, each with unique backgrounds, personalities, and abilities, and journey through expansive elemental dungeons. These dungeons are packed with monsters, loot, and epic boss battles. The narrative follows Mardek, an ordinary young man whose life changes when he shares his mind with the spirit of Rohoph, a deceased alien wizard. The game unfolds across three chapters, tracing Mardek's journey from childhood dreams to training as a Royal Guard and eventually as a full knight. Along the way, he confronts a shadowy council of alien allies, whom Rohoph insists are evil. Originally released in browser format between 2007 and 2010, this versión unites all three chapters into one seamless experience, removing distractions to enhance immersion.
