LIT Creature Forge
LIT Creature Forge is an evolution simulator inspired by Karl Sims' groundbreaking 1994 paper. It lets players watch as 200 random body plans evolve, trying to move the farthest through generations. The system evolves bodies, sensors, brains, and gaits together—no human design involved. Creatures develop unique movements, from awkward lurches to surprisingly realistic gaits. Some gaits even gain personality, like cautious shuffles or relaxed trots. The simulation runs on MuJoCo physics, delivering organic motion that feels natural, not robotic. Players can tweak settings like population size, gravity, and trial length to see how evolution adapts. Over time, complex and efficient creatures emerge—some resembling real animals, despite having no human blueprint. This versión stands out by faithfully recreating Sims’ vision with modern physics, offering a hands-off experience. You can save and showcase your best creations in a dedicated arena, perfect for sharing or just enjoying the results. LIT Creature Forge turns evolution into an engaging, unpredictable journey.
