Libertad o Muerte!
Immerses players in the turbulent wars of independence across Spanish America from 1810 to 1825. This turn-based strategy game spans six months per turn, covering a vast map of Latin America, the Caribbean, and distant regions like Cádiz, California, and Texas. Players choose sides—Patriots or Royalists—to navigate military campaigns, manage resources, and command armies and fleets. Success hinges on strategic use of event cards, which influence events, economics, combat, and fate. The game features detailed historical units, key cities, and forts, alongside two player decks representing pivotal moments in history. Scenarios include Mexico’s rebellion (1810–1820), La Plata’s uprisings (1810–1823), Bolivar’s campaigns, and the 1810–1825 Grand Campaign. Options include hot seat, PBEM, or solo play against AI. With jugabilidad ranging from 4 hours to multi-hour sessions, Miguel Santacruz’s design blends depth and accessibility. Experience the complexity.
