Iridium

Iridium is a retro-inspired 2D shoot 'em up that blends classic influences from titles like Uridium, Xenon 2, Nemesis/Gradius, and R-Type. Players enjoy free movement in multidirectional battles, with the ability to change speed and direction at will. The game features expansive maps packed with enemies and dynamic objects, offering a rich and varied experience. Important targets and structures appear as icons around the screen edges, while a glowing star guide directs players through each level. Starting with basic weapons, players can upgrade throughout the game, with available upgrades displayed at the bottom of the screen alongside collected credits—similar to R-Type. Upgrade levels are shown via progress bars, and players can later unlock new upgrade options. The game consists of six themed levels, each containing four large stages and 24 unique maps to explore. Enemies and bosses vary across stages, providing fresh challenges. Iridium delivers deep customization, strategic upgrades, and classic arcade action for fans of the genre. This is a must-play.
