Description
IDigging is a vibrant, cooperative first-person experience for up to five players, blending humor and strategy in a world where breaking the rules is the only way to thrive. Players take on the role of a down-on-their-luck protagonist determined to reclaim their life after personal setbacks—abandoned by family, facing poverty, and living in an empty home. The game's unique mechanic revolves around underground digging, where all resources are state-owned, forcing players to secretly unearth treasures to rebuild their fortunes. Exploration spans layered soil, revealing metals, jewels, furniture, and tools that enhance both survival and aesthetics. Upgrading shovels, pickaxes, and eventually heavy machinery like drills or dynamite allows deeper excavation, while clever tactics—camouflage mats, traps, or guard dogs—help evade authorities. The neighbor, a constant threat, monitors progress, demanding constant vigilance to avoid police raids. Balancing resource gathering, tool progression, and stealth creates a dynamic loop of growth and risk.
