Horizon Shift '81

Horizon Shift '81 is a standout arcade shooter nominated for "Best Arcade Game" and "Game of the Year" at the 2019 TIGA Awards. Set on a single-screen battlefield, players command a ship in the center, fending off waves of enemies approaching from above and below. The game features a unique horizon mechanic—enemies react differently when they reach it, some sitting, others destroying parts of the horizon or racing along its edge. A dash attack lets you knock enemies off the screen and into others for bonus points, with dash chaining rewarding skilled play. Players can also jump (including upside-down jumps for added challenge) and use a bomb to clear the screen and restore the horizon. Global leaderboards encourage repeat play to claim the top spot.
