Han'yo

Han’yo is a 2D side-scrolling action game set in ancient Japan, following the journey of Hiroko, a young samurai seeking vengeance after her village is destroyed by the Oni. Players experience intense, fast-paced combat where timing and reflexes determine survival. The game blends traditional samurai duels with a calm yet tense atmosphere, enhanced by a distinctive ink-style visual theme. Available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, Catalan, and Basque, Han’yo offers accessible multilingual support. Developed by Hangover Studios, a student team from DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe in Bilbao, the game was built from scratch over nine months using C++ and a custom engine. Combining historical inspiration with modern jugabilidad, Han’yo delivers a unique and immersive experience for fans of action and story-driven indie titles. It’s a standout project showcasing the talent of emerging developers. This game is definitely worth checking out.
