Fearmonium is a psychedelic metroidvania that blends suspense with humor, inviting players into the fractured mind of Max. Starting as a disturbing memory, the game challenges you to break through mental barriers and uncover hidden truths within his psyche. Set in a surreal world shaped by a boy's experience at a fair, the narrative weaves together nightmares, forgotten memories, and vivid imagery. Clowns, symbols of Depression, become central antagonists, confronting Max's fears and anxieties. The game features a vast, abstract map of consciousness, hand-drawn animation, and dynamic combat with unique abilities. Players explore themes of phobia formation, human psychology, and personal transformation. Developed solo by Slava Gris, who holds a psychology master's degree, Fearmonium merges artistic skill with academic insight. Inspired by music from Expecte Amour, it offers a thought-provoking journey into the mind's depths. Fearmonium invites players to question whether phobias are destructive or capable of reshaping life.
