Fallout

Description

The Fallout series began in a unique way, diverging from its current identity. While Bethesda launched the franchise with *Fallout 1*, the original game set the stage for a post-apocalyptic world shaped by nuclear war. Set in 2161, 84 years after the Great War, players step into the role of a customizable protagonist or choose from three pre-set characters: Albert Cole, Max Stone, or Natalia Dubrovhsky. The story kicks off in Vault 13, where a malfunctioning water system forces the Overseer to send the player on a critical mission to restore supplies. The game's open-world design invites exploration, blending survival mechanics with RPG elements. Players rely on the Pip-Boy and basic gear to navigate a harsh, desolate landscape. Despite its distinct tone, Fallout retains core systems like the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat framework, which influences skills from 0% to 200% and defines character traits. The Karma system tracks moral choices, shaping interactions and reputation.
