Fairly Certain Doom
Is a VR narrative experience designed for the Oculus Rift, placing players directly into a tense, character-driven story. You’ll navigate scenes with Marvin, a window-washing boyfriend; Rachelle, his overwhelmed girlfriend; and Tim, a coworker offering a grounding presence. The game emphasizes interactive objects rather than traditional movement—no locomotion means you’ll stay rooted, focusing on observation and hand-based engagement. At launch, Chapter 1: *Marvin* is available, with two more chapters in development. Each chapter lasts 5–8 minutes, blending story-driven moments with environmental puzzles. While not a horror title, the experience leans into suspenseful tension, offering a mix of unease and humor that keeps players engaged without overwhelming them. Fairly Certain Doom prioritizes immersive storytelling over action, making it ideal for fans of narrative-focused VR. Support is currently limited to Oculus, though future plans include Vive, Oculus GO, and Gear VR. The game.
