Explaining every string
"Explaining Every String" is a unique single-player shooter crafted live during streams, born from a childhood dream at age eight. Designed without modern gimmicks—no online features, open worlds, or roguelike elements—it follows a strict linear path demanding skill and precision. The game features 15 levels across five distinct biomes, six challenging boss battles, and 15 mini-bosses, all set to a retro aesthetic inspired by NES-era visuals and music blending classical motifs with Nintendo vibes. Players navigate with tools like a shotgun, rocket launcher, and dash mechanic to overcome obstacles. Developed as both an educational experiment and a creative tribute, it evolved into an artistic project akin to Andy Warhol films, with a focus on raw, unfiltered jugabilidad. The project, completed over 400+ streams, is available on GitHub under MIT and Creative Commons licenses, inviting developers to fork and refine it. A nostalgic homage to early gaming, perfect for fans of metroidvania and Souls-like genres seeking.
