Eidolon: Fate of Fools

Description

Is a unique mystical arena shooter drawing inspiration from Major Arcana tarot cards. Players collect and utilize cards during matches, gaining both weapons and abilities from defeated enemies. Each card offers two sides—Upright and Inverted—allowing creative strategies and movement options, though using the Inverted side means sacrificing the card. The game features 13 Major Arcana cards, each with distinct powers, and four custom arenas for intense battles. Players can enjoy solo matches against bots, team up with friends over LAN or Steam, or test their skills in free-for-all modes with a twist: two legendary Power Weapons can change the tide of battle. The game also includes an immersive banda sonora with 11 minutes of epic music, one for each Major Arcana card. Developed as a student project at DigiPen Institute of Technology, Eidolon: Fate of Fools blends creativity, strategy, and education into a memorable gaming experience.
