Description

Dorotea is a top-down horror and adventure game set in the real city of Conversano, near Bari, Italy. Developed by Pasquale "Pasqui industry" Pignataro for the Italocurso Game Jam 2025, the game lets players step into the shoes of Dorotea, a researcher tasked with cataloging historical artifacts and books dating back to the 1600s. The story unfolds as she uncovers unsettling secrets in a long-sealed room, where the past seems to watch her every move. Available in English and Italian, Dorotea is optimized for Game Boy and Game Boy Color, with a PC versión that includes an emulator and pre-configured setup. Built using GB Studio, the game features minimal tiles and sound effects, all credited to other authors. Released on Xbox and Microsoft Store (beta), it's also playable on Windows 11, Xbox One, and Series X. Dorotea offers a quick, atmospheric experience—around 10 minutes to complete—while celebrating the rich history and legends.
