Cab Ride offers a relaxing train simulation experience where you drive through surreal landscapes, transporting passengers across diverse routes. Explore rolling hills, winding tunnels, and bustling cityscapes while enjoying ambient chiptune music. The game emphasizes freedom—drive as long as you like, stopping at stations to pick up or drop off passengers. Perfect scores come from precise braking at markers, though casual play is encouraged. Controls are simple: use X for horn/restart, C/Z for doors, arrows for braking/accelerating, and Up/Down for speed adjustments. Express mode toggles via Right, and Left triggers the final station announcement. Developed by Ben Jones (@Powersaurus) with music by Stephen 'rych-t' Jones, the project uses PICO-8 code licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0. Available on PICO-8 BBS and YouTube for browser play.
