BYU Virtual Campus | Virtual Reality
BYU Virtual Campus offers an immersive VR experience built from a highly detailed photogrammetry model of Brigham Young University’s campus. Created using thousands of drone and ground-level images, the environment captures every building, path, and landscape with remarkable accuracy. Originally developed as a Master’s thesis by Bryce Berrett during the 2020 summer, the project was later enhanced by the BYU MR Lab in 2022 to deliver a fully interactive virtual reality environment. Users can explore the campus as if they were physically present, walking through iconic locations and discovering hidden details. The project blends academic research with cutting-edge VR technology, making it a valuable tool for education, virtual tours, and remote collaboration. Ideal for students, educators, and VR enthusiasts, this experience brings BYU’s campus to life in a new and engaging way. It’s a must-try for anyone interested in virtual exploration and modern educational tools.
