BRKÖUT
BRKÖUT revives the classic brick-breaking genre with a surprising twist. Players control a paddle that gradually falls apart as they shatter blocks at the top of the screen. To keep playing, they must collect fallen bricks and rebuild their paddle, adding a layer of strategy to the fast-paced action. Originally developed for the Vic-30 era, this remastered title brings a forgotten gem to modern displays in 16:9 resolution. The game supports both keyboard and mouse controls, though it was designed for an earlier computing era. Its story unfolds through subtle hints and retro-inspired visuals, while the banda sonora by Simon Wagg complements the nostalgic experience. With around two hours of jugabilidad and hundreds of bricks to manage, BRKÖUT offers a challenging and inventive take on the arcade classic. The pronunciation guide notes it’s best said as “BREK-ouht.” Developed by Fisher and Simon Wagg, this title marks their first full-length project after winning Game Theory Fall Game Jam in 2015. BRK.
