Blade&Sword is a ported action RPG set in ancient China over 3,000 years ago. Players wield swords to battle the spirit of Emperor Jo of Country Jo, who seeks world domination. As the first Chinese action RPG, it gained international success with 200,000 copies sold across China, Japan, the U.S., and Russia. Recognized by Gamespot as a top 10 RPG for 10 days in 2003, it topped the list for three days. The game blends traditional RPG elements with fighting mechanics, allowing diverse combat styles like jabbing, slashing, and kung fu techniques. Players experience dynamic battles through dodging, blocking, and environmental interactions. The story follows Emperor Jo's downfall after Emperor Wu's conquest, with the Wizard Wen Zhong using magic to erase Jo's spirit, sending souls across timelines.
