Puts players in charge of the crucial work behind the scenes at airports. As an Airport Line Technician, you coordinate ramp operations, guide aircraft movement via radio, and ensure each plane is fueled and ready for its next flight. You’ll operate ground support equipment, report malfunctions, and keep the airport running smoothly. Your role includes direct interaction with staff and passengers to guarantee safety and security during departures and arrivals. You’ll also handle aircraft towing, parking, and greeting arriving or departing planes at gates or ramps. Though you never pilot planes, you’re responsible for directing pilots using aviation hand signals and ensuring all aircraft are properly maintained. This involves monitoring fuel and oil levels, conducting quality control checks, and reporting any visible damage. Additionally, you maintain terminals, hangars, and airport grounds, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization. During bad weather, you help de-ice planes and keep walkways clear for passengers. You’re also the first to notice suspicious activity, reporting it immediately to maintain airport security. This.
